A Blocks Nexus is building EnsureInsured, a blockchain-powered insurance verification and enforcement ecosystem designed to modernize insurance compliance, fraud prevention, policy verification, and regulatory enforcement through secure digital infrastructure.
The platform leverages Hyperledger Fabric, cloud-native architecture, mobile applications, government dashboards, insurer integrations, and modern API-driven services to create a trusted ecosystem connecting governments, insurers, enforcement agencies, and citizens.
As we scale our engineering organization, we are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to help implement software integration, API development, RESTful APIs, and web services.

EnsureInsured embraces an "AI first" software development approach. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively utilize modern "AI powered" engineering tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Devin, Windsurf, or equivalent platforms to accelerate development, improve software quality, enhance testing, automate repetitive tasks, and increase engineering productivity. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in "a human plus AI" development environment while maintaining strong software engineering fundamentals, security awareness, and code quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations with external systems and third-party platforms.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to enable secure data exchange between systems.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for integrated services.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and external stakeholders to define integration requirements.
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot API integrations and data flows.
- Monitor integration performance and resolve connectivity or data synchronization issues.
- Ensure integrations meet security, reliability, and scalability requirements.
- Create and maintain integration documentation, API specifications, and technical guides.
- Support system testing, deployment, and production issue resolution.
Key Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software integration, API development, or related engineering roles.
- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and web services.
- Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, API Keys, JWT, and SAML.
- Experience integrating with external platforms, enterprise applications, and third-party services.
- Strong understanding of JSON, XML, HTTP/HTTPS, and API communication patterns.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving integration and data exchange issues.
- Familiarity with API testing and monitoring tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar.
- Experience working with Git-based version control systems and CI/CD processes.
- Knowledge of secure integration practices and data protection principles
