The Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Physical Education is responsible for promoting students' physical fitness, sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and overall well-being through structured physical education programs, sports activities, and health awareness initiatives. The teacher ensures a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports the holistic development of students.
Key Roles and Responsibilities & Academic Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Physical Education classes in accordance with the school's curriculum and CBSE guidelines.
- Prepare annual, monthly, weekly, and daily lesson plans.
- Teach physical fitness, sports skills, health education, yoga, and wellness practices.
- Assess students' physical abilities and maintain records of their progress.
- Encourage participation of all students irrespective of skill level.
Sports and Co-curricular Activities
- Organize and conduct inter-house, inter-school, district, state, and national level sports competitions.
- Identify, mentor, and train talented students for competitive events.
- Coach school sports teams and accompany students during tournaments.
- Plan annual sports events, sports week, athletics meets, and fitness campaigns.
- Coordinate morning assemblies involving physical exercises or yoga whenever assigned.
Student Development
- Promote discipline, leadership, teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship.
- Motivate students to adopt healthy lifestyles and regular physical activity.
- Guide students on fitness, nutrition, personal hygiene, and injury prevention.
- Provide additional coaching to students requiring skill enhancement.

Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Graduation in a relevant discipline.
- Relevant teaching experience in a CBSE or equivalent school is desirable.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
