The Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests, handling laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of test results while maintaining laboratory standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and process patient samples such as blood, urine, and other specimens.
- Perform laboratory tests as per standard procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Record and maintain accurate test results and documentation.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of samples.
- Follow laboratory safety and infection control guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
- Assist senior technicians and doctors in diagnostic procedures when required.
- Ensure timely reporting of test results to the concerned department.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT) or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory or hospital.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures
- Ability to operate lab equipment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer knowledge
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
