Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Structural Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge in structural steel design, modeling, detailing, and structural weight calculations. The candidate must be proficient in industry-standard design software and capable of preparing accurate fabrication drawings and structural models for industrial and prefabricated projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare structural 2D drawings and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform structural analysis and design using STAAD Pro.
- Develop and modify structural models using CATIA.
- Prepare fabrication, GA, and shop drawings for steel structures.
- Perform accurate structural steel weight calculations based on drawings and design requirements.
- Estimate material quantities (BOM) and optimize steel consumption.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure design accuracy.
- Review drawings and resolve technical issues before production.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and project specifications.
Required Skills
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Revit
- STAAD Pro
- AutoCAD
- CATIA
- Excellent knowledge of structural steel weight calculations and quantity estimation.
- Ability to prepare Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Good understanding of structural steel design, connections, and detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Eligibility
- Diploma / B.E. in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in structural design.
- Freshers with excellent software knowledge and strong understanding of structural weight calculations are welcome to apply.
- Candidates residing in Tambaram, Chromepet, Pallavaram, Perungalathur, Guduvanchery, Vandalur, Urapakkam, Selaiyur, Camp Road, Mudichur, or nearby areas will be preferred.
- Must be available to join immediately.
