As a
Business Intelligence Developer, youll design, build, and maintain reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across NES Fircroft. Working closely with stakeholders and the BI Team Lead, youll develop impactful
Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions that transform complex data into meaningful business intelligence.
- Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models.
- End-to-End BI Delivery: Manage the full dashboard lifecycle from requirements gathering through to deployment, enhancement, and ongoing support.
- SQL Development: Write and optimise SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and validate reporting data.
- Data Modelling: Develop robust data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query transformations.
- Insight Generation: Translate business requirements into meaningful visualisations, KPIs, and actionable insights.
- Data Quality & Validation: Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and alignment with agreed business definitions.
- Performance Optimisation: Troubleshoot data issues and continuously improve dashboard performance and usability.
- Documentation: Maintain technical documentation covering datasets, models, dashboards, and reporting standards.
- Platform Administration: Support refresh schedules, gateways, workspace management, and deployment activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply best practices across Power BI development, data modelling, governance, and reporting processes.

- BI Experience: 2-3 years experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analysis, or Analytics roles.
- Power BI Expertise: Strong hands-on experience developing dashboards, reports, data models, DAX, and Power Query solutions.
- SQL Skills: Proven experience writing and optimising SQL queries, joins, aggregations, and stored procedures.
- Data Modelling Knowledge: Understanding of data modelling principles, star schema design, and KPI development.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Able to explain technical concepts and insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Organisation Skills: Comfortable managing multiple reporting projects and competing priorities.
- Continuous Improvement Focus: Passion for improving reporting, automation, and business intelligence capabilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, or modern data platforms.
- Knowledge of Power BI Service administration, gateways, and deployment pipelines.
- Experience supporting reporting governance, documentation, and data standards.
- Exposure to Tableau or other enterprise BI platforms.
