Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure services, cloud operations, infrastructure management, and a solid understanding of DevOps practices, automation, and CI/CD processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, manage, and support Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Provision, configure, and maintain Azure resources, including:
- Virtual Machines (VMs)
- App Services
- Storage Accounts
- Virtual Networks (VNets)
- Load Balancers
- Azure SQL Databases
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and platform-related issues, performing root cause analysis when required.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability solutions.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and support teams to ensure efficient deployment and operational processes.
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools.
- Assist in infrastructure automation and configuration management using PowerShell, ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Manage identity, access control, and security through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Perform system patching, capacity planning, performance tuning, and routine maintenance activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration records.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Azure Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Azure Virtual Machines
- Azure App Services
- Azure Storage Accounts
- Azure SQL Database
- Solid understanding of Azure networking concepts, including:
- Virtual Networks (VNets)
- Network Security Groups (NSGs)
- Load Balancers
- VPN Connectivity
- Experience with Azure monitoring and observability tools:
- Azure Monitor
- Log Analytics
- Application Insights
- Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Knowledge of Backup, Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), and Business Continuity concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for Azure infrastructure and platform services.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation tools.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent).
- Exposure to DevOps methodologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience working in enterprise cloud environments and production support operations.
- Knowledge of security best practices, governance, and compliance in Azure environments.
