Position Overview
We are looking for a nurturing and creative Homeroom Teacher to guide young learners in Lower Kindergarten (LKG) and Upper Kindergarten (UKG). The role involves teaching foundational skills, fostering social-emotional development, and creating a safe, engaging environment aligned with the Cambridge Early Years Curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Early Years Teaching: Deliver lessons in literacy, numeracy, and general awareness tailored to LKG & UKG learners.
- Holistic Development: Support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth through structured activities and play.
- Classroom Management: Establish routines, encourage positive behavior, and maintain a safe environment.
- Lesson Planning: Design age-appropriate, activity-based lessons that spark curiosity and creativity.
- Assessment: Observe and document student progress, providing feedback to parents.
- Parent Communication: Act as the main contact for parents, sharing updates on academic and personal development.
- Extracurricular Activities: Organize events, celebrations, and creative projects to enrich learning.
- Professional Development: Participate in workshops and training to stay aligned with Cambridge Early Years best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Teaching certification (Cambridge or international curriculum preferred).
- Experience in teaching kindergarten or early years (minimum 2 years).
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to integrate play-based and technology-supported learning.
