We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support our prosecution team in managing IP portfolios and ensuring timely filing and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in trademark, patent, copyright, and design prosecution matters.
- Prepare, review, and file applications before the Indian IP Office.
- Maintain docketing system and monitor statutory deadlines.
- Draft and file responses to examination reports, hearing notices, and other official communications.
- Coordinate with clients for documents, declarations, affidavits, and supporting information.
- Prepare filing forms, assignments, powers of attorney, and other prosecution documents.
- Track application status and provide regular updates to clients.
- Coordinate with foreign associates for international filings and prosecution matters.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical case files.
- Conduct legal and IP database searches when required.
- Ensure compliance with filing procedures and internal quality standards.
- Support attorneys in administrative and prosecution-related tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or any Graduate with Paralegal/IPR experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in an Intellectual Property law firm .
- Knowledge of Indian Trademark, Patent, Copyright, and Design procedures.
- Experience with IP filing portals and docket management systems is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with the Madrid Protocol and PCT filings.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Client coordination and professional email communication.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach.
