The Manager – Patient Growth & Physician Engagement is responsible for driving sustainable patient growth by strengthening the hospital's brand, enhancing doctors' visibility, expanding physician referral networks, and building meaningful relationships with consultants and healthcare providers in the community. The role serves as a strategic bridge between clinical teams and hospital management by integrating healthcare marketing, physician engagement, business development, clinical collaboration, and operational excellence to improve patient outcomes, service utilization, and organizational growth while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly patient acquisition and growth strategies aligned with the hospital's business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to increase OPD, IPD, diagnostics, preventive health, and surgical volumes.
- Analyze patient demographics, referral sources, market trends, service utilization, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop strategic initiatives to improve patient acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to enhance patient experience and improve service accessibility.
2. Doctor Branding & Visibility
- Develop and implement personalized branding plans for consultants and specialists.
- Coordinate doctor profiles, biographies, achievements, publications, awards, and areas of expertise across the hospital website, social media, and digital platforms.
- Plan and execute educational videos, health awareness campaigns, webinars, podcasts, blogs, articles, patient education programs, and media interactions featuring consultants.
- Facilitate doctors' participation in conferences, Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, workshops, seminars, academic events, and public health initiatives.
- Enhance the professional visibility and reputation of hospital consultants through strategic communication and branding initiatives.
3. Physician Referral Development & Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- General Practitioners (GPs)
- Family Physicians
- Consulting Specialists
- Clinics
- Nursing Homes
- Diagnostic Centres
- Referring Hospitals
- Healthcare Organizations
- Conduct regular physician visits to strengthen referral relationships and understand referral patterns.
- Identify opportunities for clinical collaboration and strategic partnerships.
- Organize referral meets, networking events, doctor connect programs, and engagement initiatives.
- Maintain a structured physician engagement calendar and CRM database.
- Foster long-term relationships with referring physicians through continuous communication, educational initiatives, and collaborative programs.
4. Clinical Engagement & Operational Excellence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, physicians, surgeons, and clinical staff to foster collaboration and multidisciplinary engagement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clinical teams and hospital management for operational and strategic initiatives.
- Identify clinical needs and opportunities to improve workflows, operational efficiency, patient outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
- Facilitate regular clinical meetings, feedback sessions, and strategic discussions with medical teams.
- Support the implementation of clinical protocols, care pathways, digital health initiatives, and evidence-based medical practices.
- Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, IT, and other support departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Drive clinician adoption of new technologies, digital platforms, medical equipment, and innovative clinical practices.
- Organize and coordinate CME programs, workshops, skill enhancement sessions, and clinical training initiatives.
- Monitor clinician satisfaction and proactively address concerns to improve physician engagement, retention, and performance.
- Analyze clinical performance data and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
5. Relationship Management & Strategic PartnershipsDevelop and strengthen relationships with:
- Local Doctors and Specialists

- Healthcare Institutions

- Represent the hospital at healthcare events, medical conferences, networking forums, and community engagement programs.
6. Community Outreach & Healthcare Promotion
- Plan and execute community health awareness programs, preventive healthcare campaigns, screening camps, and wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with educational institutions, corporate organizations, residential societies, NGOs, and community groups to promote hospital services.
- Increase community awareness regarding specialty services and preventive healthcare.
7. Data Analytics, Performance Monitoring & ReportingMonitor and analyze:

- Ensure all marketing, physician engagement, and branding activities comply with applicable medical council regulations, hospital policies, accreditation standards, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain complete patient confidentiality and data privacy.
- Promote ethical, evidence-based, and educational communication across all engagement activities.
- Support hospital quality initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure compliance with NABH and other applicable healthcare quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA), Healthcare Management, Business Administration (MBA – Healthcare/Marketing), or equivalent.
- 5–10 years of experience in hospital business development, physician relations, healthcare marketing, clinical engagement, or strategic hospital operations.
- Strong understanding of hospital operations, referral marketing, healthcare regulations, and physician relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, leadership, project management, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Hospital Information Systems (HIS), and data analytics tools.
