Junior Draughtsman (Exhibitions & Events)

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Junior Draughtsman to join our Exhibitions & Events team. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing technical drawings, fabrication drawings, layouts, and 3D visualizations for exhibition stalls, event setups, retail displays, and experiential projects.
This role requires strong drafting abilities, knowledge of industry-standard software, and the ability to collaborate with designers, production teams, and vendors to ensure accurate execution of creative concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert design concepts, sketches, and layouts into detailed technical and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare accurate floor plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings for exhibition stalls and event structures.
- Develop detailed CAD drawings for fabrication and on-site execution.
- Create 3D models and mock-ups using SketchUp and other relevant software.
- Coordinate with the design, production, and execution teams to ensure drawings are practical and structurally feasible.
- Revise drawings based on client feedback, production requirements, and site conditions.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to technical standards, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
- Maintain drawing documentation and update revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist senior designers in preparing presentation and production drawings.
- Support the execution team by resolving technical drawing-related queries during fabrication and installation.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of technical drafting and fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Mandatory).
- Good working knowledge of SketchUp.
- Understanding of scale, dimensions, materials, and structural detailing.
- Ability to interpret design concepts into executable technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced event environment.
- Knowledge of exhibition stalls, event structures, retail displays, or experiential projects will be an added advantage.
Eligibility
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience as a Draughtsman or CAD Designer.
- Experience in the Exhibitions, Events, Interior Fit-outs, Retail, or Experiential Design industry is preferred.
Preferred Software Skills
- AutoCAD (Mandatory)
- SketchUp
- MS Office
- Knowledge of 3ds Max, V-Ray, or other 3D visualization software will be an advantage.
