Sourcing Manager – Electronics Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Sourcing Manager – (Supply Chain) Specialist to support our R&D and hardware engineering teams in sourcing electronic components and hardware materials. This role is crucial for managing the supplier base, ensuring the availability of high-quality components, mitigating supply risks, and enabling fast-paced innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
● Strategic Sourcing & Procurement ○ Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers for electronic components, PCBs, semiconductors, connectors, and other R&D hardware materials. ○ Lead sourcing activities including RFQs, negotiations, and supplier selection with focus on quality, cost, and lead time. ○ Establish and maintain supplier contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs).
● R&D Support ○ Collaborate closely with engineering and R&D teams to understand technical requirements and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
○ Support prototype builds and pre-production sourcing by ensuring component availability and identifying alternates.
● Supplier & Risk Management ○ Develop strong supplier relationships to support innovation, agility, and resilience. ○ Monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and manage risks related to obsolescence, single-source dependencies, and geopolitical factors. ● Cost Management
○ Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams. ○ Balance cost competitiveness with minimal inventory and just-in-time delivery for R&D needs.
● Cross-functional Collaboration ○ Work with internal stakeholders including R&D, Product Development, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to align sourcing goals. ○ Participate in new product introduction (NPI) processes to ensure timely sourcing decisions. Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Business, or related field.
● 5 - 8 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement, in electronics, semiconductors, or hardware R&D environments.
● Strong knowledge of electronic components, BOMs, and hardware design cycles.
● Experience in managing global suppliers and navigating component shortages and lifecycle issues.
● Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and sourcing tools.
● Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
● Experience with NPI, ECN (Engineering Change Notification) processes, and prototyping cycles.
● Familiarity with compliance standards such as RoHS, REACH, and conflict minerals.
● Technical understanding of PCBs, embedded systems, or consumer electronics hardware.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
