Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month

1. Job Purpose
Padmaranjeeta Education Trust is looking for a Solar PV Trainer to deliver high-quality theoretical and practical training to candidates under NUA Odisha, PLTP and DDU-GKY skill development projects.
The Trainer will be responsible for developing candidates' technical knowledge and practical skills in Solar PV installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and electrical safety, ensuring successful completion of training, assessment, certification and placement requirements.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Training Delivery
- Conduct theory and practical classes as per the approved curriculum and training schedule.
- Deliver training on Solar PV systems, electrical fundamentals and renewable energy technologies.
- Explain Solar PV modules, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, cables and other components.
- Complete the prescribed training hours within the project timeline.
- Use appropriate training aids, demonstrations and practical exercises.
B. Practical Training
- Conduct hands-on training on Solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Demonstrate:
- Solar panel mounting and installation
- DC/AC wiring and connections
- Inverter installation
- Battery installation and maintenance
- Earthing and electrical safety
- Cable selection and termination
- Testing and commissioning
- Fault identification and troubleshooting
- Preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ensure candidates gain sufficient practical competency for industry employment.
C. Candidate Management
- Monitor candidate attendance, discipline and learning progress.
- Identify candidates requiring additional technical support.
- Provide individual guidance and practical assistance.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined and professional learning environment.
D. Assessment & Certification
- Conduct regular tests, practical assessments, assignments and mock assessments.
- Prepare candidates for final assessment and certification.
- Maintain assessment and performance records.
- Support external assessment and certification activities as required.
E. Documentation & MIS
- Maintain daily training records and lesson/session plans.
- Maintain attendance, assessment and practical training records.
- Update project-related MIS/portal information as assigned.
- Ensure all training documentation is complete and audit-ready.
- Submit regular training progress reports to the Centre Manager.
F. Safety & Laboratory Management
- Ensure all practical activities are conducted safely.
- Train candidates on electrical hazards, PPE and safe working practices.
- Maintain Solar PV lab equipment, tools and practical kits.
- Maintain equipment inventory and report damaged or missing items.
- Ensure proper utilization and safe storage of training equipment.
G. Placement Support
- Develop candidates' job-oriented technical skills.
- Provide technical guidance for interviews and employment.
- Coordinate with the Placement Team for candidate selection and job readiness.
- Support placement activities and industry-oriented practical preparation.
H. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with the Centre Manager, MIS/IT, mobilization, hostel and placement teams.
- Support monitoring visits, inspections and assessments by project authorities.
- Follow all applicable project SOPs, guidelines and quality standards.
- Report project-related issues and training challenges promptly.
3. Qualification
- ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, Solar or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant Solar PV certification/training will be an added advantage.
- Trainer certification/ToT, wherever applicable under the respective project, will be preferred.
4. Experience
- Experience in Solar PV installation, operation, maintenance or technical training.
- Experience as a trainer under DDU-GKY, NUA Odisha, PLTP, PMKVY or other Government Skill Development Projects will be preferred.
- Practical industry experience in Solar PV installation and troubleshooting will be an advantage.

- Ability to train youth candidates effectively.
- Basic computer and MIS/portal knowledge.

7. Salary & Job Location
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on qualification and relevant experience.
