Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Housekeeping is responsible for managing all housekeeping operations within the factory premises, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation across production, office, warehouse, and common areas. The role includes supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring compliance with food safety and statutory requirements, maintaining housekeeping consumables, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to provide a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily housekeeping operations across the factory premises.
- Ensure cleanliness of production areas, warehouses, offices, cafeterias, washrooms, and other common areas.
- Lead and monitor housekeeping supervisors and outsourced housekeeping personnel.
- Prepare duty rosters, allocate work, and monitor attendance and productivity of housekeeping staff.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI, and company hygiene standards.
- Conduct regular housekeeping inspections and implement corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate deep cleaning schedules and periodic sanitation activities.
- Monitor housekeeping equipment and ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
- Manage inventory of housekeeping materials, chemicals, tools, and consumables.
- Raise purchase requisitions and maintain optimum stock levels.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and usage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, Engineering, Security, and Administration teams to maintain housekeeping standards.
- Support internal, customer, and statutory audits by ensuring housekeeping compliance.
- Train housekeeping staff on hygiene practices, SOPs, safety procedures, and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure contractual service levels are achieved.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping reports and MIS.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies and statutory regulations.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Housekeeping, Facility Management, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in housekeeping or facility management within a manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or industrial environment.
- Experience in managing outsourced housekeeping teams and handling statutory hygiene compliance.
- Exposure to audit requirements and food safety standards will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
