Job Title: Supply Chain Operations Manager
Location: Zirakpur, Punjab
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹80,000 per month (Based on Experience)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee transportation planning, logistics operations, fleet coordination, and dispatch activities. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, vendor management experience, and the ability to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage transportation and logistics operations.
- Coordinate vehicle placement and dispatch schedules.
- Develop and maintain relationships with transporters and vendors.
- Monitor freight costs and optimize transportation efficiency.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining service quality.
- Handle route planning, shipment tracking, and issue resolution.
- Negotiate transportation rates and contracts.
- Prepare logistics reports and performance analysis.
- Coordinate with sales, procurement, and operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4–10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of freight operations and transportation planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics management tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in agricultural commodities, cattle feed, feed ingredients, or bulk transportation.
- Strong transporter network and market knowledge.
- Ability to manage high-volume dispatch operations.
