Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and safety-conscious Safety Supervisor to support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at our industrial manufacturing plant construction project. The candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, monitor daily site activities, conduct routine inspections, and promote a safe working environment for all personnel.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing safety procedures and company HSE policies at the project site.
- Conduct routine site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
- Monitor construction activities, including civil work, structural work, fabrication, and equipment installation.
- Supervise safety during electrical system installation, cable laying, panel installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor safety during fire fighting system installation, including sprinkler, hydrant, piping, and pump installation work.
- Ensure safe execution of high-risk activities such as:
- Work at Height
- Hot Work
- Lifting Operations
- Excavation
- Confined Space Entry
- Ensure compliance with the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system for high-risk work activities.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and assist in site safety induction programs for workers and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel at the site.
- Inspect scaffolding, ladders, lifting equipment, power tools, and temporary electrical systems for safe operation.
- Report safety violations, hazards, and near misses to the Safety Officer or Project Management.
- Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain daily safety inspection records, permit registers, PPE records, and other safety documentation.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safe material storage, and clear access routes throughout the project site.
- Assist during emergency drills and ensure firefighting equipment, first aid facilities, and emergency exits remain accessible.
- Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging safe work practices among all site personnel.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in industrial construction, electrical installation, or fire fighting system projects.
- Good knowledge of construction safety, electrical safety, and fire safety practices.
- Understanding of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and basic risk assessment procedures.
- Ability to monitor site safety activities independently under the guidance of the Safety Officer.
- Good communication, observation, and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of safety documentation and incident reporting.
Qualification
- Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Safety certification such as ADIS, IOSH, NEBOSH (IGC), or any recognized safety course will be preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Experience working on industrial manufacturing plant construction projects.
- Ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Basic knowledge of Risk Assessment and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Good leadership, team coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office for maintaining safety records and reports.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
