Job Title: Bartender
Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional customer service. The role includes maintaining the bar area, ensuring responsible service of alcohol, managing inventory, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
- Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and provide recommendations based on the menu.
- Ensure all beverages are prepared and presented to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, equipment, and workstations.
- Verify the legal drinking age of guests and ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Monitor guest consumption and handle situations involving intoxicated guests professionally.
- Process guest bills accurately using the POS system and handle cash/card transactions.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and assist with inventory counts and replenishment.
- Store beverages and ingredients properly to maintain quality and freshness.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Assist in setting up and closing the bar before and after service.
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless guest service.
- Support special events, promotions, and themed evenings as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or diploma in Bartending or Hospitality is preferred.
- 1–3 years of bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, bar, or lounge.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage service standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
