Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee end-to-end finance operations, accounting, compliance, reporting, and internal controls. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial statements, timely reporting, statutory compliance, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial accounting, audits, taxation, MIS reporting, and budgeting, with the ability to manage finance operations independently.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage complete accounting function including General Ledger, AP, AR, and fixed assets
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of books
- Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Ensure all reconciliations are completed and maintained
MIS & Financial Analysis
- Prepare monthly MIS reports for management review
- Conduct variance analysis (Budget vs Actual)
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions and profitability improvement
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgets
- Support financial planning and cost optimization initiatives
Taxation & Compliance
- Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances
- Ensure timely filing of returns and reconciliations
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants
Audits
- Handle statutory, internal, and tax audits
- Ensure timely resolution of audit queries and observations
- Maintain audit-ready financial records
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements for efficiency
Team Management
- Supervise and guide accounting and finance team members
- Ensure smooth coordination between finance and other departments
- Support development and performance of team members
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in Finance & Accounts
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and audits
- Strong exposure to MIS reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (Tally / SAP / Oracle / similar)
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
- Experience handling end-to-end finance operations independently
- Experience in mid-sized or growing organizations is an advantage
