Key Responsibilities
International Market Development
- Identify demand for quartz slabs, countertops, and tiles in countries like the USA, UAE, Europe, etc.
- Research construction and interior design trends globally
- Find new buyers, distributors, and importers
Sales & Business Growth
- Promote quartz products to architects, builders, wholesalers, and retailers
- Achieve export sales targets
- Prepare quotations and pricing based on international standards
- Negotiate contracts and long-term supply agreements
Product Knowledge (Very Important in Quartz Industry)
- Understand types of quartz (engineered quartz, natural quartz)
- Know specifications: thickness, finish, durability, color patterns
- Explain product advantages like stain resistance, strength, and design appeal
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain relationships with overseas clients and distributors
- Handle inquiries, samples, and product customization requests
- Resolve complaints related to quality or shipment
Export Documentation & Compliance
- Manage documents like invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin
- Ensure compliance with import regulations of different countries
- Handle certifications (quality standards, safety norms)
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate with production for slab cutting, polishing, and packaging
- Work with shipping lines and freight forwarders
- Ensure safe packaging (important for fragile quartz slabs)
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery
Market Promotion
- Participate in international trade fairs (stone expos, construction expos)
- Promote products through catalogs, samples, and digital platforms
- Monitor competitors (especially from countries like China, Italy, Turkey)
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of export-import procedures
- Good understanding of the stone/quartz industry
- Negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to handle international clients
- Knowledge of pricing, freight, and global trade terms (FOB, CIF, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or International Trade
- Experience in stone, ceramics, or building materials industry preferred
