A. Raw Material Testing
- Collect and test incoming raw-material samples as per approved test methods.
- Perform testing of parameters such as:
- Moisture
- pH
- Purity/assay
- Carbon content
- Particle size
- Density
- Ash content
- Viscosity, where applicable
- Other product-specific parameters.
- Record test results and communicate deviations to the QC/Production team.
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of samples.
B. In-Process Quality Control
- Collect samples from different stages of production.
- Monitor critical process parameters and product characteristics.
- Conduct routine testing during manufacturing to ensure process consistency.
- Immediately report any abnormal result or deviation to the concerned supervisor.
- Assist Production in troubleshooting quality-related problems.
C. Finished Product Testing
- Carry out final testing of finished products according to approved specifications.
- Prepare laboratory test reports and maintain batch-wise records.
- Verify products against customer specifications before release.
- Maintain retention samples of finished products as per company procedure.
D. Laboratory Equipment & Instruments
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as:
- Analytical balance
- pH meter
- Moisture analyser / oven
- Muffle furnace
- Sieve shaker / particle-size testing equipment
- Viscometer
- Hot plate and magnetic stirrer
- Conductivity meter
- UV-Vis spectrophotometer, if applicable
- GC/HPLC, if applicable and after appropriate training.
Ensure instruments are clean, calibrated and maintained properly.
E. Documentation
- Maintain laboratory registers, test reports and analytical worksheets.
- Prepare Certificate of Analysis (COA) as instructed.
- Maintain calibration and instrument-use records.
- Maintain chemical inventory and laboratory consumable records.
- Follow approved SOPs, specifications and testing procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation of non-conforming results and retesting.
