About Us
ABS Painting is an Australian commercial painting company delivering high-quality painting and protective coating services across a range of commercial, industrial and residential projects. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team and support our Australian operations.
Position Summary
As a Construction / Painting Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing architectural drawings, completing quantity take-offs, preparing accurate cost estimates, and assisting in the preparation of quotations and tender submissions for painting projects throughout Australia.
Full training will be provided on our estimating procedures and Australian painting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural and construction drawings, specifications and tender documents.
- Measure quantities from plans (walls, ceilings, doors, trims, steelwork, etc.).
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for painting works.
- Calculate material requirements and labour hours.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing schedules.
- Assist with tender submissions and client quotations.
- Liaise with Australian project managers regarding project scope and pricing.
- Maintain estimating spreadsheets and databases.
- Identify scope exclusions, assumptions and potential project risks.
- Assist with pricing variations and additional works.
- Meet tender and quotation deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 1–3 years' experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying or cost estimation (preferred but not essential).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Good written and spoken English.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience with one or more of the following is advantageous:
- Bluebeam Revu
- Microsoft Project
- PDF measurement software
Previous experience estimating painting or finishing trades is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: ₹25,075.60 - ₹40,894.67 per month
