Position Description: We are looking for a strategic Guidewire Domain Consultant with deep expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance to bridge the gap between our business stakeholders and our technical teams. You will act as the functional SME for our Guidewire suite [PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter / BillingCenter]. Your primary goal will be to map our business processes to Guidewire's capabilities, advocating for out of the box (OOTB) solutions and driving operational efficiency across the organization. You will regularly pitch solutions to executive leadership, bridging the gap between technical details and business strategy.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Business & Systems Analysis: Partner with business leaders, underwriters, and claims adjusters to understand current state workflows and define future state processes enabled by Guidewire.
. OOTB Advocacy: Deeply understand Guidewire's base product features to guide stakeholders toward OOTB solutions, minimizing the need for complex technical customizations.
. Requirement Translation: Write clear, detailed epics, user stories, and functional specifications that the engineering team can easily execute.
. Strategic Roadmap: Work with product owners and executive leadership to prioritize the Guidewire feature backlog and plan for future upgrades or module rollouts.
. Change Management & UAT: Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), create training materials, and support the business through system changes and adoption.
. Industry Consulting: Keep abreast of P&C industry trends and Guidewire product updates, advising the business on how to leverage new features for competitive advantage.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must Have Skills:
. 10+ years of experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry (e.g., Underwriting, Claims, Billing, or Operations).
. 3+ years of experience working directly as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Functional Consultant on Guidewire implementation/upgrade projects.
. Extensive functional knowledge of the Guidewire suite (Inception through post production support).
. Ability to fluently translate "insurance business needs" into "system requirements" for technical architects and developers.
. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
. Recognized industry designations such as CPCU, INS, or Guidewire Business Analyst certification.
Good to have Skills:
- Knowledge of integration technologies such as REST APIs, SOAP, messaging, and middleware.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira.
