Why This Role Exists
We are a growing catering and hospitality company expanding our footprint across corporate, social, and large-scale private events. We need an energetic, high-ownership Sales Representative who is passionate about food, beverage, and social media, relentless about deal closure, and eager to drive revenue. This is not an order-taking role. You will be embedded in our business rhythm - prospecting leads through digital channels, hosting tasting sessions, creating engaging social content around our spreads, and ensuring client commitments move seamlessly from initial DM or inquiry to flawless catering execution.
What You'll Do
- Prospecting & Social Outreach: Identify and target corporate office managers, event planners, wedding planners, and private hosts through active social media engagement (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), cold calling, and local networking to build a robust pipeline.
- Social Content & Lead Generation: Partner with the marketing team (or self-create) to showcase setup visual reels, food presentations, live event coverage, and client testimonials; directly manage inbound DMs, inquiries, and social leads to convert them into calls.
- Client Engagement & Tastings: Conduct menu consultations, coordinate food tasting sessions, present tailored catering proposals, and respond to incoming digital or traditional inquiries within strict turnaround times to maximize conversion.
- Pipeline & Proposal Management: Maintain a single source of truth for all catering leads (social DMs, web forms, calls), custom menu requirements, deal statuses, and follow-ups in our CRM; chase and unblock pending proposals until closed.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Executive Chefs, kitchen staff, banquet managers, and logistics teams to ensure client dietary requirements, event timelines, and service details are communicated accurately.
- Account Management & Upselling: Build lasting relationships with corporate and event planner accounts to secure recurring orders, negotiate contract renewals, and upsell premium beverage or live-station packages.
- Data & Reporting: Prepare weekly scorecards tracking prospective inquiries (by source: social vs. direct), tasting-to-booking conversion rates, and sales target variances.
What You Bring
- Education: Educational background from a highly reputed Secondary School, Graduation from a reputed Institution, Hospitality Management will get preference, Marketing, Culinary Arts, or Business Administration in Sales and Marketing from a reputed university.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in sales, social media handling, customer service, or hospitality/food & beverage (ambitious freshers meeting the educational criteria with a passion for catering sales are encouraged to apply).
- Core Competencies: Strong follow-through, active listening, and deal-closure skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication with an approachable, professional demeanor.
- Social Media Savvy: Comfort with platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Reels) for business networking and basic digital outreach.
- Analytical Aptitude: Basic comfort with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) for tracking quotes, guest counts, and revenue metrics.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to coordinate effectively across kitchen operations, service crews, and external clients.
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience managing business social media accounts, creating short-form video content, or running direct messaging campaigns.
- Basic knowledge of food & beverage pairings, dietary preferences, or banquet operations.
Pay: Up to ₹280,000.00 per year
