Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic, and result-oriented Overseas Education Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will be the guiding force for students aspiring to study abroad. You will help them navigate the entire journey—from selecting the right universities and courses to managing applications, documentation, and visa processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Counseling: Provide comprehensive, one-on-one counseling to students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities, university choices, eligibility, and career pathways.
- Application Management: Guide students through the entire application process, including preparing and reviewing SOPs (Statement of Purpose), LORs (Letters of Recommendation), and resumes.
- Country Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge about educational systems, admission requirements, visa policies, and cultural nuances of key study destinations (e.g., US, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe).
- Visa Guidance: Assist students with the compilation of visa documentation and conduct mock visa interviews to ensure high success rates.
- Lead Conversion & Follow-ups: Follow up diligently with prospective students who have inquired about your services and convert leads into active enrollments.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with university representatives and institutional partners.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field (a degree or experience studying abroad is a huge plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of proven experience as an Overseas Education Counselor or in a similar role within the international recruitment industry.
- Communication: Exceptional English communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills to build trust with students and parents.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of visa regulations, financial documentation requirements, and university portals.
- Attributes: Highly organized, target-driven, patient, and capable of working under tight application deadlines.
