Profile Summary
The Publication Analyst is responsible for supporting researchers, faculty members, universities, and scholars throughout the research publication lifecycle. The role involves manuscript writing, editing, journal selection, publication support, thesis formatting, conference paper preparation, and coordination with publishers to ensure high-quality research output while maintaining publication ethics and international standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
· Write, edit, proofread and format research and review papers.
· Support thesis and dissertation writing/formatting as per university guidelines.
· Format conference papers (IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, etc.) and prepare camera-ready versions.
· Conduct literature reviews and manage references using standard citation styles.
· Ensure manuscripts comply with journal formatting, ethics and plagiarism requirements.
· Coordinate with authors, universities, editors and publishers.
· Assist authors in selecting suitable journals based on manuscript scope and quality.
· Evaluate journals based on indexing (Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, ABDC, UGC CARE), quartile ranking (Q1–Q4), impact metrics, APC, and publication timelines.
· Guide authors through manuscript submission, revisions, reviewer responses, and publication tracking.
· Track manuscript progress from submission to final publication.
· Conduct journal quality assessments and identify predatory journals.
· Coordinate revisions, proofs, copyright forms, invoices and publication documentation.
· Prepare publication status reports and maintain accurate publication records.
· Support publication workshops and institutional research projects.
Knowledge
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Management, Computer Applications, English, or related field.
- MBA + Graduation in engineering candidates are also eligible.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience; freshers with strong communication skills may also apply.
Skills
- Excellent academic writing, editing, proofreading, and technical documentation skills.
- Strong command of written and verbal English.
- Knowledge of research methodologies.
- Familiarity with Scopus, WoS, PubMed, ABDC, UGC CARE, IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, MDPI.
- Thesis, dissertation & conference formatting.
- Publication ethics & plagiarism.
- APA, IEEE, Harvard, MLA; Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero.
- MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
