Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for cinematic video editing?
We’re looking for a Short Film Video Editor to join our team and transform raw footage into emotionally engaging and visually compelling films.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Edit short films, cinematic sequences, and storytelling-driven video content
- Craft emotionally engaging narratives through pacing, transitions, sound, and visuals
- Enhance footage with color grading, sound design, background music, subtitles, and cinematic effects
- Create visually immersive edits that maintain audience attention from start to finish
- Collaborate closely with directors, writers, and creative teams to bring stories to life
- Organize and manage project files efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Experiment with creative editing styles, transitions, and storytelling techniques
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in short film editing, cinematic storytelling, or narrative video content
- Strong understanding of pacing, mood-building, emotional storytelling, and visual composition
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools
- Experience with sound design, color correction/grading, and cinematic transitions
- Strong creative vision and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a creative environment
- Quick turnaround capability while maintaining high-quality output
Bonus Skills:
- Motion graphics and VFX knowledge
- Experience in screenplay visualization or storyboard-based editing
- Knowledge of cinematic sound mixing and advanced color grading
- Experience working on YouTube films, OTT content, documentaries, or ad films
- Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop, Canva, After Effects)
