The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating all fabrication activities to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and cost efficiency. The role involves managing fabrication personnel, monitoring fabrication processes, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and specifications, and coordinating with quality, planning, and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fabrication activities in the workshop.
- Allocate work to fabricators, welders, fitters, and helpers.
- Ensure fabrication is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Inspect fabricated components for dimensional accuracy and workmanship.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team for inspections and testing.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of fabrication tools, welding machines, and equipment.
- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with the stores department for material availability.
- Maintain production reports, work progress, and manpower records.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Train and guide fabrication personnel on best practices and safety procedures.
- Resolve fabrication issues and provide technical support to the workforce.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
