About the Role
Jabal Exim Private Limited is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Freight Procurement, Pricing, Documentation & Shipment Manager to oversee all export logistics operations.
The primary objective of this role is to secure the most competitive freight rates available in the market while ensuring smooth shipment execution and accurate export documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with shipping lines, NVOCCs, freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, and overseas agents to optimize freight costs, improve operational efficiency, and support the company's global export operations.
This position will also play a strategic role in developing long-term logistics partnerships that support the future growth of Nicobar Maritime Private Limited.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, compare, and negotiate the most competitive freight rates available in the market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, and overseas agents.
- Continuously monitor freight market trends and maintain an updated freight pricing database.
- Ensure every export shipment is booked at the best possible commercial terms without compromising service quality.
- Coordinate export shipments from booking until cargo reaches its destination.
- Manage export documentation including Shipping Bills, Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with factories, transporters, customs brokers, customers, and overseas partners to ensure timely shipment execution.
- Track vessel schedules, container availability, and shipment status.
- Resolve freight, documentation, and operational issues proactively.
- Work closely with the Sales, Production, Dispatch, Accounts, and Documentation teams.
- Identify new logistics partners and negotiate long-term freight agreements to reduce logistics costs.
- Maintain excellent relationships with logistics service providers while continuously improving freight procurement performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, export logistics, or international trade.
- Proven experience negotiating freight rates directly with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
- Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures, container shipping, and Incoterms.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Work from the Hyderabad office is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network with shipping lines, freight forwarders, NVOCCs, and CHAs.
- Experience in freight procurement and pricing.
- Experience in the natural stone or export industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of international shipping routes and vessel scheduling.
- Fluency in multiple languages will be considered a strong advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per hour
