Core responsibilities
Student and learner counselling
- Provide high-quality, data-informed academic and career counselling to students using Google’s education ecosystem (e.g., Google Career Certificates, Cloud learning paths, Applied Digital Skills, etc.).
- Conduct one-on-one and group sessions to help learners choose programs, map skill gaps, and plan transitions into jobs or further study.
- Support underrepresented and first-generation learners with tailored guidance on scholarships, financial aid options, and alternative pathways
Program design and operations
- Design and refine counselling frameworks, playbooks, and workflows for large-scale student population
- Collaborate with product, content, and marketing teams to align counselling guidance with new courses, certifications, and Google for Education initiatives.
- Track key metrics (enrolment, completion, job placement, satisfaction) and use them to improve counselling effectiveness and program design.
Stakeholder and partner management
- Work with universities, bootcamps, NGOs, and government bodies to integrate Google learning pathways into their curricula and career services.
- Train and mentor junior counsellors, campus ambassadors, and partner staff on Google’s education offerings and best counselling practices.
- Represent Google at education fairs, webinars, and institutional meetings as a subject-matter expert on digital skills and career pathways.
Insights and advocacy
- Surface recurring student pain points, barriers, and success stories to inform product improvements and policy decisions.
- Contribute to internal reports and external thought leadership on trends in digital skills, employability, and equitable access to education.
Typical qualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Higher Education Administration, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with international education systems and/or vocational/technical training pathways is a strong plus.
Experience
- 5+ years in education counselling, academic advising, student success, or related roles; edtech, online learning, or large-scale programs highly valued.business.
- Demonstrated experience designing or improving counselling processes at scale (hundreds to thousands of learners).
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, operations) in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain complex pathways simply and empathetically
- Strong data literacy: comfortable with dashboards, basic analytics, and using data to guide decisions
- Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse student populations across regions.
- Proficiency with CRM/student management tools, video conferencing, and collaboration suites

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
