Somatheeram Ayurvedic Hospital & Yoga Centre, an internationally acclaimed Ayurveda hospital set in a resort ambiance, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to oversee the medical care and well-being of guests throughout their stay. The ideal candidate should be a BAMS graduate with more than 10 years of experience in the Ayurvedic hospitality field. The role involves monitoring guests’ health, providing medical support, coordinating with Ayurvedic physicians and other departments, attending to medical emergencies, and ensuring timely and appropriate care while maintaining the resort’s high standards of Ayurvedic healthcare and guest service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform day-to-day clinical duties, including initial, daily, and final consultations, while maintaining professional interactions with guests.
- Supervise Ayurvedic therapists and support staff, excluding doctors, to ensure quality service and adherence to prescribed therapy protocols.
- Ensure proper dispensing and timely administration of Ayurvedic medicines and accurate execution of prescribed therapies.
- Regularly report patient health progress, treatment outcomes, and clinical concerns to the Senior Medical Officer and follow instructions accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with NABH clinical protocols and actively participate in clinical audits and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely, complete, and confidential medical documentation in accordance with NABH standards and ensure proper auditing of records.
- Perform assigned duties related to NABH accreditation, quality standardisation, and clinical compliance processes.
- Assist the Senior Medical Officer with routine medical enquiries and clinical decision-making whenever required.
- Participate in guest orientation activities, including familiarisation with medicinal plants in the herbal garden, when required.
- Conduct final consultations in coordination with Senior Medical Officers and prepare discharge summaries, lifestyle advice, and follow-up recommendations.
- Conduct periodic visits to therapy rooms to monitor treatment quality and ensure adherence to prescribed protocols.
- Clearly explain therapies, procedures, treatment plans, and relevant medical instructions to guests.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute suggestions and ideas for improving the quality and effectiveness of clinical services.
- Adhere to the organisation’s code of conduct, discipline, professional ethics, grooming standards, and established policies at all times.
- Participate in training programmes and professional development activities organised by the establishment.
- Maintain accurate daily clinical logs and ensure all required records are completed and submitted on time.
- Coordinate with other medical and wellness facilities, including Physiotherapy, Yoga, and allopathic medical services, to ensure integrated guest care.
- Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to patient care by extending duty hours when required, particularly during medical emergencies.
- Assume Night Duty Medical Officer responsibilities when required, including during the absence or unavailability of the designated officer, to ensure uninterrupted medical coverage and patient safety.
