Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment within the factory. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, preventive maintenance practices, and electrical safety standards to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of factory electrical equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in production machines, panels, motors, drives, and control systems.
- Install, test, and commission electrical wiring, panels, lighting systems, and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain transformers, generators, UPS systems, compressors, and electrical distribution systems.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts consumption.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Support utility maintenance and electrical improvement projects as required.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of electrical rooms, panels, and work areas.
- Assist during audits and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance documentation.
Required Qualifications
- ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid Electrical Supervisor/Wireman License (preferred, if applicable).
- 3–7 years of experience in factory or manufacturing plant maintenance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panels.
- Experience in troubleshooting motors, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, and electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical safety regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in the food processing, FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial production sector will be an added advantage.
