Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and innovative Web Designer & Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly websites and digital interfaces, ensuring optimal functionality across various devices and platforms. Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, Angular, and Node.js.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups employing tools like Adobe XD, Figma, Axure, Balsamiq, and InVision to facilitate user research and usability testing.
- Implement SEO best practices to optimise website visibility and performance through Google Analytics and other analytics tools.
- Manage content management systems including WordPress, Drupal, SharePoint, and custom solutions using PHP and MySQL databases.
- Maintain website content, perform regular updates, troubleshooting, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
- Utilise Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) for graphic design, visual content creation, and animation projects.
- Conduct user research to enhance user experience (UX) and information architecture for improved usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop UI/UX designs that align with project goals.
- Perform website maintenance tasks such as updates, security checks, optimisation using SCSS/SASS or Less stylesheets.
- Analyse data via Google Analytics or similar tools to inform design improvements and optimise user engagement.
Skills
- Proficiency in web design principles including responsive web design, UI/UX design, wireframing, and information architecture.
- Strong front-end development skills with expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS/SASS), JavaScript (AJAX), React, Angular, Redux, Node.js.
- Experience with content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal; familiarity with PHP and MySQL is advantageous.
- Skilled in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; experience with Adobe After Effects for animations is a plus.
- Knowledge of SEO strategies alongside analytics tools like Google Analytics for data-driven decision making.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git; understanding of usability testing methodologies.
- Ability to create prototypes using Axure, Balsamiq, InVision; experience with wireframing tools like Visio or VHDL is beneficial.
- Experience in email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp; knowledge of SCSS or Less for stylesheet management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
