About the Role
Tez Tarrar Media Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an energetic and responsible Ground Reporter to join our Delhi-based news team. The candidate will be responsible for covering breaking news, local issues, public-interest stories, events, and on-ground developments across Delhi NCR.
The ideal candidate should have excellent Hindi communication skills, strong news sense, confidence in front of the camera, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover breaking news and important developments across Delhi NCR.
- Conduct on-ground reporting, interviews, vox pops, and public reactions.
- Identify and develop news stories from local issues and current events.
- Reach the location quickly and collect accurate information from the ground.
- Interview government officials, police personnel, public representatives, experts, and local residents when required.
- Prepare short news reports and video content for digital platforms.
- Coordinate with the newsroom/editorial team regarding story updates.
- Shoot basic video footage using a smartphone/camera and ensure good-quality visuals.
- Verify facts and information before reporting.
- Provide timely updates during breaking news situations.
- Maintain professional conduct while interacting with sources and the public.
Required Skills
- Excellent Hindi speaking and writing skills are mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Delhi's local issues and current affairs.
- Good communication and interviewing skills.
- Strong news sense and ability to identify a potential news story.
- Confidence to report from the ground and speak on camera.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of smartphone video shooting and social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently as well as with an editorial team.
- Willingness to travel across Delhi NCR for news coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in journalism, digital media, TV news, or ground reporting will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in Hindi news channels, digital news platforms, or local reporting will have an advantage.
- Freshers with excellent Hindi communication, strong confidence, and a genuine interest in journalism may also apply.
Working Requirements
- 6 working days per week.
- Field-based role requiring regular travel across Delhi NCR.
- Candidate should be comfortable working during breaking news and urgent situations.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required depending on news events.
