SLS is a full-service Chartered Accountancy firm offering audit, taxation, advisory, and financial consulting services to a diverse client base. We are expanding our finance advisory practice and are looking for an experienced finance professional to lead client engagements and strengthen our advisory offerings.
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned MBA Finance professional with 6–8 years of experience to drive financial advisory, planning, and analysis engagements for our clients. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between core accounting/tax expertise and strategic financial decision-making, working closely with Partners on high-value client mandates.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting engagements for client organizations.
● Analyse financial statements to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for clients.
● Develop MIS reports, dashboards, and financial models.
● Manage client relationships independently, acting as a trusted financial advisor.
● Mentor and review work of junior analysts and associates in the finance advisory team
● Stay updated on RBI/SEBI/FEMA regulations, industry trends, and financial best practices relevant to client engagements
● Collaborate with the audit and tax teams to provide integrated client solutions
● Manage end-to-end workflow — plan engagement timelines, allocate work across analysts and associates, track deliverable status, and ensure deadlines are met without last-minute bottlenecks
● Act as the single point of coordination between Partners, client-facing teams, and internal audit/tax teams to ensure smooth handoffs and no duplication of effort
● Set up and maintain a tracker or MIS for ongoing engagements (status, pending items, upcoming deadlines) so Partners have real-time visibility into the team's workload
● Identify workflow bottlenecks specific to a CA firm environment (e.g., dependency on audit sign-offs, statutory deadlines, multi-client concurrent engagements) and proactively resolve or escalate them
● Ensure quality control and standardization of deliverables (models, reports, presentations) across the team before client submission
Required Skills & Qualifications
● MBA in Finance from a recognized institute.
● 6–8 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, CA firm environment, financial advisory, investment banking,
● Proficiency in Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and financial software ERP tool Tally
● Sound understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation basics, and corporate finance regulations
● Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
● Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
● Strong workflow and team coordination skills — experience managing overlapping deadlines, multiple client mandates, and cross-functional handoffs (especially relevant in a multi-service CA firm setup)
● Experience in client-facing advisory roles is highly preferred
Preferred Attributes
● Prior experience working with or alongside CA firms, investment banks, or consulting firms
● Exposure to startups/SME clients in fundraising or restructuring
● Strong business acumen with the ability to translate numbers into strategic insights
● High ownership mindset and ability to work directly with Partners/leadership
