Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced NPD Manager to lead new product development from concept to production. The candidate will coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, and Customers to ensure timely product development, process readiness, and successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Tool Room, and Customers.
- Prepare and monitor project plans, milestones, and development timelines.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments.
- Support prototype development, trials, validation, and product approvals.
- Ensure APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plan, and process documentation.
- Monitor project cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Drive continuous improvement and new product industrialization.
- Ensure smooth transfer from development to mass production.
- Prepare and present project status reports to management.
Requirements:
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma with relevant experience may also be considered).
- 8–12 years of experience in New Product Development in automotive, die casting, machining, or precision engineering.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, GD&T, Engineering Drawings, CAD concepts, and project management.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
