Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Safety Officer with 2–5 years of experience in the construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at the project site, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies and safety procedures at the construction site.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training programs.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with project teams to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor work permits for high-risk activities such as work at height, hot work, lifting operations, and confined space entry.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and statutory documentation.
- Conduct emergency response drills and ensure fire safety equipment is available and functional.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, or NEBOSH (Preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction projects.
- Good knowledge of construction safety standards and statutory compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with project teams.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
