We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor (QS) to manage and control all costs related to our building and construction projects. You will be responsible for providing accurate material take-offs, preparing detailed bills of quantities (BOQ), and performing billing audits to ensure projects are completed within the approved budget. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical knowledge of civil engineering measurements and exceptional commercial negotiation skills. [1]Key Responsibilities
- Estimation & Take-offs: Preparing precise material quantity take-offs directly from engineering drawings, structural blueprints, and technical specifications.
- BOQ Preparation: Formulating comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for civil, structural, and finishing works.
- Billing & Verification: Reviewing, verifying, and certifying Running Account (RA) bills, subcontractor invoices, client billing, and final account settlements.
- Cost Control: Monitoring ongoing project expenditures against the baseline budget to detect deviations and mitigate cost overruns.
- Variation Management: Measuring, evaluating, and documenting design variations, extra items of work, and contract change orders.
- Material Reconciliation: Conducting routine material stock reconciliation statements to track consumption and minimize wastage on-site.
- Tendering Support: Assisting the commercial team with rate analysis, bid evaluation, and tender document reviews.
