Job Summary
Awish Dermacare Private Limited is seeking a skilled and dedicated OT Technician to support surgical and dermatological procedures by ensuring the operation theatre is prepared, maintained, and equipped to the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and efficiency. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operation theatre before procedures, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons, dermatologists, and nursing staff during surgical and aesthetic procedures.
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain OT equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
- Prepare patients for procedures as directed by the medical team.
- Monitor and replenish OT consumables and maintain inventory records.
- Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to OT procedures and sterilization records.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure smooth OT operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the operation theatre at all times.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Relevant experience in an operation theatre, preferably in dermatology, cosmetic surgery, or a multi-specialty healthcare setting.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of OT protocols, sterilization techniques, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with surgical instruments and OT equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and record maintenance.
