Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE) - Chettinad Hospitals is looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage procurement activities and ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services.
Job Details
Responsible for end-to-end procurement, vendor management, purchase negotiations, purchase orders, inventory coordination, and ensuring timely availability of required materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchasing and procurement activities.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate commercial terms.
- Raise and monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with departments, stores, finance, and vendors.
- Monitor inventory requirements and avoid stock shortages.
- Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline.
- MBA/PG qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field will be an advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement.
- Experience in healthcare/hospital procurement is preferred.
Candidate Profile
Strong negotiation, vendor management, procurement, and analytical skills with good knowledge of purchasing processes. Candidates with proven experience in hospital/healthcare procurement will be preferred.
