MEP Estimator – Job Description

An MEP Estimator at SD Infra & MEP Services Pvt. Ltd. is responsible for preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Fire Fighting, and ELV projects. The role involves analyzing drawings and specifications, calculating material and labor costs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting the project and sales teams in preparing competitive project quotations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Prepare BOQ, cost estimation, and quantity take-offs for MEP projects.
- Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for quotations and pricing.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for clients.
- Assist in tender submissions and bid documentation.
- Review project scope and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain estimation records and project cost data.
- Coordinate with project engineers and procurement teams for accurate budgeting.
- Support management in project planning and cost analysis.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of MEP systems including Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV.
- Ability to read technical drawings and BOQ.
- Good knowledge of estimation and quantity take-off.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
- Strong analytical and calculation skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Qualification:
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
Work Environment:
- Office-based role with coordination with site and project teams.
- Interaction with clients, vendors, and suppliers for quotations and project costing.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
