Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Educator to lead the training and professional development of nursing staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering educational programs that enhance clinical competence, patient safety, and compliance with hospital standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing education and training programs.
- Conduct induction and orientation programs for newly joined nursing staff.
- Plan and deliver continuous nursing education (CNE) sessions, workshops, and skill-based training.
- Assess clinical competencies through demonstrations, return demonstrations, and evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, nursing protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
- Coordinate Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and other mandatory certification programs.
- Identify learning needs through audits, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain training records, attendance, competency checklists, and certification documentation.
- Mentor and guide nursing staff to improve clinical knowledge and professional development.
- Collaborate with Nursing Administration and department heads to implement evidence-based nursing practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities (NABH/JCI), and clinical audits.
- Monitor compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to nursing education.
- Stay updated with current healthcare guidelines, nursing research, and educational methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Nursing Council registration.
- Certification in BLS/ACLS (preferred).
- Additional certification in Nursing Education or Clinical Training is an advantage.
Experience
- 3–8 years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years in nursing education or clinical training within a hospital.
- Experience in NABH/JCI-accredited hospitals is preferred.
