Job Overview: The Technician is responsible for the assembly, field installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial material handling systems. This primarily includes Electric Wire Rope Hoists, Chain Hoists, and Electric Overhead Traveling (EOT) Cranes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical & Electrical Assembly: Assemble hoist units, gearboxes, motors, and wire ropes; wire up electrical control panels and pendants.
- On-Site Installation: Execute the installation and alignment of cranes, hoists, and gantry structures at client sites.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to prevent breakdowns and extend machine lifespan.
- Breakdown Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical faults (circuit issues, contactors, limits) and mechanical failures (worn gears, brakes, wire ropes).
- Testing & Safety Audits: Conduct load testing and strict functional checks to ensure compliance with material handling safety standards.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: ITI Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Electrician, or Mechatronics trades.
- Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of gearbox mechanisms, braking systems, 3-phase wiring, control circuits, and remote/pendant configurations.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in the installation, servicing, or maintenance of cranes, hoists, or heavy industrial machinery.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to work at heights (on crane runways or scaffolding) and handle heavy mechanical components.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
