Qualification
Operation Theatre Technician Certificate (State Medical Faculty _SMF), West Bengal or equivalent recognized institution.
BLS certification preferred.
Experience in a multispecialty hospital or oncology OT is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the Operation Theatre before each surgical procedure by ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and readiness.
Arrange and check surgical instruments, equipment, implants, and consumables required for scheduled surgeries.
Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and OT nurses during surgical procedures.
Sterilize, disinfect, pack, and store surgical instruments according to CSSD protocols.
Operate and maintain OT equipment such as OT tables, surgical lights, electrocautery machines, suction apparatus, patient monitors, infusion pumps, and other equipment.
Check the functioning of OT equipment before every procedure and report any malfunction immediately.
Assist in patient positioning, shifting, and safe transfer before and after surgery.
Ensure proper handling, labeling, and transport of specimens to the laboratory.
Maintain accurate documentation of OT procedures, equipment logs, sterilization records, and instrument checklists.
Segregate and dispose of biomedical waste according to Biomedical Waste Management Rules.
Follow hospital policies on hand hygiene, patient safety, fire safety, and infection control.
Assist in NABH quality initiatives, audits, incident reporting, and continuous quality improvement activities.
Coordinate with CSSD, Biomedical Engineering, Housekeeping, and Stores for smooth OT operations.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with ethical and legal requirements.

Skills Required:
Knowledge of OT procedures and surgical instrumentation.
Knowledge of sterilization and aseptic techniques.
Familiarity with infection control and biomedical waste management.
Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies.
Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of patient safety and NABH standards.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
