Experience: 2–5 Years in Machine Manufacturing / Assembly
1. Job Purpose
To manage and supervise the complete production and assembly process of Bottle Packaging Machines, SPM Machines, Bottle Filling Machines, Bottle Washing Machines and related bottling/packaging equipment, ensuring production is completed as per drawings, quality standards, planned timelines and customer requirements.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Production Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute daily/weekly machine production activities as per project schedule.
- Prepare machine-wise production and assembly plans.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Electrical and Dispatch departments.
- Monitor production progress against planned target dates.
- Identify production delays and take corrective action.
- Ensure machines are completed within committed delivery timelines.
B. Machine Assembly & Manufacturing
- Supervise assembly of:
- Bottle Filling Machines
- Bottle Washing Machines
- Bottle Packaging Machines
- SPM (Special Purpose Machines)
- Conveyors and other bottling-line equipment
- Ensure proper mechanical assembly, alignment, fitting and installation of machine components.
- Check assembly as per approved 2D/3D drawings, BOM and technical specifications.
- Monitor fabrication, machining, fitting, welding and assembly activities.
- Ensure proper use of tools, fixtures and measuring instruments.
C. Technical & Drawing Understanding
- Read and understand mechanical 2D/3D drawings, BOMs and assembly drawings.
- Verify availability and correctness of components before assembly.
- Identify drawing/component-related issues and coordinate with the Design Department for resolution.
- Suggest design or manufacturing improvements wherever required.
D. Quality Control
- Ensure production is carried out according to defined quality standards.
- Conduct in-process inspection during fabrication and assembly.
- Check dimensions, alignment, level, fitting, movement and functionality of machine assemblies.
- Ensure proper finishing, cleanliness and workmanship.
- Coordinate with Quality/Inspection team for final machine inspection.
- Prepare and close punch points before machine dispatch.
E. Testing & Trial Run
- Coordinate machine testing and trial runs before dispatch.
- Check machine performance under operating conditions.
- Verify:
- Bottle movement
- Filling accuracy
- Washing performance
- Conveyor movement
- Machine synchronization
- Pneumatic/mechanical operation
- Safety guards and interlocks
- Record trial observations and ensure defects are rectified before dispatch.
F. Manpower Management
- Allocate daily work to fitters, welders, fabricators and other production workers.
- Monitor manpower productivity and attendance.
- Train junior technicians and operators on proper assembly practices.
- Ensure discipline and safety practices are followed on the shop floor.
G. Material & Component Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of production materials.
- Verify components against BOM before assembly.
- Identify shortages, damaged components or incorrect materials immediately.
- Minimize material wastage and avoid unnecessary rework.
H. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain and update:
- Daily Production Report
- Machine-wise Production Status
- Assembly Completion Report
- Material Shortage Report
- Production Delay Report
- Rework/Rectification Report
- Trial Run Report
- Final Inspection/Punch Point Report
- Dispatch Readiness Status
3. Coordination
The Production Engineer will regularly coordinate with:
- Design Department – drawings, modifications and technical issues
- Purchase Department – material/component availability
- Stores Department – material issuance and stock
- Quality Department – inspection and testing
- Electrical Department – electrical/panel integration
- Dispatch Department – packing and dispatch readiness
- Project/Site Team – machine requirements and site-related issues
4. Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial machine assembly and manufacturing.
- Good understanding of mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, gears, chains, sprockets, couplings, pneumatic cylinders, valves, pumps and motors.
- Knowledge of conveyors, filling systems, washing systems and packaging mechanisms will be preferred.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and BOMs.
- Knowledge of machine alignment and precision assembly.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of machine testing and troubleshooting.
- MS Excel and production reporting skills.
5. Educational Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
6. Experience
2–5 years of experience in production, machine assembly, industrial machinery manufacturing or bottling/packaging machinery.
Experience in bottling plants, filling machines, packaging machines, SPMs, conveyors or special-purpose machinery will be preferred.

9. Authority & Responsibility
The Production Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that assigned machines are manufactured, assembled, tested and made dispatch-ready within the planned timeline, while maintaining required quality, safety and technical standards.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
