Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Lead with a strong background in BFSI application support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing L1 support operations, ensuring uninterrupted availability of critical banking applications, monitoring payment systems, coordinating with engineering teams, and maintaining high service levels across banking interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a small team of L1 Application Support Engineers, ensuring efficient handling of production support activities.
- Oversee day-to-day L1 support operations across multiple banking application modules.
- Perform proactive monitoring of banking applications during auction windows to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor NEFT batches (24x7) and ensure the successful completion of all scheduled transaction batches.
- Monitor RTGS interfaces, including EOD (End of Day), SOD1, and SOD2 processes.
- Ensure seamless transaction flow between Core Banking System (CBS) and RTGS systems during business hours.
- Monitor and ensure smooth transaction processing between CBS and QPX systems.
- Continuously monitor interface applications and ensure successful processing of all transactions.
- Analyze production issues, coordinate with engineering and development teams, and drive issues through to resolution.
- Coordinate End of Month (EOM) and End of Year (EOY) banking support activities.
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, incident reports, and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and business users to ensure smooth production operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Application Support.
- Mandatory experience in the Banking & Financial Services (BFSI) domain.
- Strong understanding of banking payment systems including:
- NEFT
- RTGS
- CBS (Core Banking System)
- Banking Interfaces
- Experience in production support, incident management, and application monitoring.
- Ability to lead and mentor an L1 support team.
- Good understanding of EOD, SOD, EOM, and EOY banking processes.
- Experience in issue analysis, troubleshooting, and coordination with engineering teams.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with banking middleware, interface monitoring, or payment gateways.
- Familiarity with SQL, Unix/Linux commands, and log analysis.
- Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar.
- ITIL Foundation Certification is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
