Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, creative, and experienced Music Teacher to join our school. The candidate will be responsible for developing students' musical abilities through engaging classroom instruction, practical training, performances, and participation in school events.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for students across different age groups.
- Teach vocal and and instrumental music as per the school curriculum.
- Develop students' singing, rhythm, musical expression, and performance skills.
- Prepare students for school assemblies, annual functions, competitions, celebrations, and other events.
- Organize and conduct music activities, clubs, and performances.
- Identify and nurture students with musical talent.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Coordinate with teachers and school management for various cultural programmes.
- Maintain lesson plans, student records, and other required academic documentation.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of musical instruments and equipment.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Music from a recognized institution.
- Relevant certification/diploma in music will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience as a Music Teacher in a school is preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to handle both individual and group music sessions.
- Proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental music.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and student-friendly approach.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Indian classical/light music and/or Western music.
- Ability to train students for stage performances and competitions.
- Experience in handling school bands, choirs, or musical groups will be an advantage.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
