Business Consultant – Retail
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant – Retail with strong domain expertise in retail operations and business processes. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in merchandising, inventory management, procurement, warehouse operations, sales, pricing strategies, and omnichannel retail. The role involves understanding client requirements, optimizing business processes, and delivering practical business solutions.
We are looking for professionals with strong industry exposure and practical business process knowledge. Candidates should possess the ability to understand real-world operational challenges, engage with stakeholders, and recommend scalable business solutions. Experience with ERP platforms is considered an added advantage; however, industry expertise and business consulting capability will be the primary selection criteria.
Industry expertise is mandatory. ERP implementation exposure will be considered an added advantage.
Experience

6–8 years of relevant experience in Retail Operations, Retail Consulting, or Retail Business Process Management.

Experience in organized retail, supermarkets, fashion retail, consumer electronics, or lifestyle retail is preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Understand end-to-end retail business operations.

Conduct requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders.

Analyse current business processes and recommend improvements.

Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), process flows, and functional documentation.

Support solution design, UAT, user training, and implementation.

Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Warehouse, Sales, and Store Operations teams.

Drive process optimization initiatives and operational excellence.

Participate in client workshops and solution discussions.
