Job Description – AC Container Vehicle Mechanic
We are looking for an experienced AC Container Vehicle Mechanic who can independently handle the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of refrigerated/AC container vehicles and reefer units.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and servicing of AC/refrigerated container vehicles and reefer units.
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
- Troubleshoot issues related to compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, thermostats, sensors, and electrical components.
- Check and maintain refrigerant gas, pressure, cooling performance, and temperature controls.
- Identify and repair electrical faults, wiring issues, relays, fuses, and control systems.
- Handle preventive and breakdown maintenance of reefer vehicles.
- Maintain proper service and repair records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of refrigeration units.
- Ensure vehicles maintain the required temperature for cold-chain transportation.
- Coordinate with the operations team regarding vehicle breakdowns and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures during repair and maintenance work.
- Perform container -related maintenance, inspection, and repair work, including checking doors, hinges, locks, handles, rubber gaskets/seals, panels, flooring, physical damage, leakage, sealing, and insulation issues, and carrying out minor repairs as required.
Qualification - ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), Automobile, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred.
Preferred Experience -Experience working with refrigerated trucks, reefer containers, cold-chain vehicles, transport refrigeration units, or AC container vehicles will be an advantage
Pay: ₹10,086.00 - ₹20,294.74 per month
