Job Title: Lead Accounts Analyst
About the Role
We are hiring a Lead Accounts Analyst to independently manage statutory compliance filings and financial reporting across multiple branch locations, while leading and mentoring the accounts team. This is a high-ownership role for a finance professional who can handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI, PT, ROC, and Income Tax compliance end-to-end — while driving accurate, timely financial reporting for CFO and leadership review.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant, Accounts Analyst, or GST/Compliance Executive ready to step into a role combining technical ownership with team leadership, Director reporting, and cross-branch visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and consolidate branch-wise revenue and financial reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements, and MIS reports for Director and board-level review.
- Deliver project-wise revenue analysis and variance reporting.
- Monitor debtor/creditor ageing, stock variance, and support annual budgeting.
Statutory & Tax Compliance (Independent Filing)
- Independently prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), GSTR-2B reconciliation, and IGST for import/export transactions.
- Handle TDS deduction, challan payments, and quarterly TDS returns (24Q/26Q); independently respond to GST and TDS notices.
- Manage PF, ESI, and Professional Tax (PT) registration and ongoing compliance.
- Independently prepare and file company Income Tax Returns (ITR).
- Handle ROC compliance — Form 8, Form 11, MOA/POA filings, and DSC/DIN management.
- Manage MSME and ISO registration renewals, and maintain a zero-lapse statutory compliance calendar.
Legal, Insurance & Documentation
- Coordinate legal filings for patents and trademarks.
- Manage employee and vehicle insurance renewals and claims.
- Maintain legal, banking, and rental agreement documentation.
- Prepare onboarding documentation for new employees, including statutory registrations.
Banking, Cash & Payroll
- Oversee daily cash management, banking operations, and foreign payment processing.
- Coordinate loan renewals, DD documentation, and bank account administration.
- Process monthly payroll and ensure accurate statutory payroll deductions.
- Maintain salary registers, PF records, and the fixed asset register.
Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounts team; review work for accuracy and compliance.
- Standardize reporting and filing practices across branches and group entities.
- Serve as the escalation point for the accounts team on compliance and reporting queries.
- Train team members on filing accuracy, documentation discipline, and reporting standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in Accounts, Taxation & Statutory Compliance, with at least 1–2 years in a team-leading capacity.
- Proven, independent experience filing GST, TDS, PF, ESI, PT, and ROC returns — without consultant/third party support.
- Strong experience in multi-location financial reporting.
- Advanced MS Excel skills — Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliation, and dashboard reporting.
- Hands-on proficiency in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring an accounts team.
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail, ownership, and accountability.
