We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to manage the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and documentation of HVAC systems in a GMP-compliant manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring environmental conditions meet regulatory requirements through effective operation of HVAC systems, EMS (Environmental Monitoring System), and BMS (Building Management System).
Key ResponsibilitiesHVAC Operations
- Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC systems for production areas, warehouses, laboratories, and utility sections.
- Ensure temperature, humidity, differential pressure, and air changes are maintained as per GMP requirements.
- Monitor AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems, chilled water systems, and ventilation equipment.
- Ensure uninterrupted HVAC operation to support manufacturing activities.
Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of HVAC equipment as per approved schedules.
- Troubleshoot HVAC-related issues and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and equipment history.
EMS & BMS Monitoring
- Operate and monitor Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) and Building Management System (BMS).
- Monitor critical environmental parameters and investigate deviations.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports from EMS/BMS.
- Coordinate with QA and Production teams to ensure environmental compliance.
Documentation
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, logbooks, maintenance records, calibration records, and engineering documentation.
- Maintain HVAC qualification and validation documentation.
- Ensure all records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure HVAC systems comply with GMP, GDP, EHS, and company quality standards.
- Participate in deviation investigations, CAPA, and Change Control activities.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve HVAC system efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
- Coordinate with external service providers during annual maintenance and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and engineering best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical HVAC systems and cleanroom requirements.
- Hands-on experience with AHUs, FCUs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Exhaust Systems, and Air Compressors.
- Experience operating EMS (Environmental Monitoring System) and BMS (Building Management System).
- Understanding of cleanroom classifications, differential pressure, temperature, humidity, and air handling requirements.
- Knowledge of GMP, GDP, engineering documentation, SOPs, Change Control, CAPA, and Deviation management.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and engineering documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Candidate Preference
- Experience in Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Herbal, API, or Formulation manufacturing facilities.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC validation and qualification documentation.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines such as WHO-GMP and Schedule M.
- Experience coordinating with QA, Engineering, and Production departments.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
