*Job Summary*
-We are seeking a dynamic, student-focused, and globally aware Career Counsellor to guide students in making informed academic, university, and career decisions aligned with their interests, strengths, aspirations, and evolving global opportunities.
- The Career Counsellor will play a pivotal role in supporting students through career exploration, subject selection, university admissions, and future-readiness initiatives, while ensuring alignment with the CBSE and IBCP frameworks. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in national and international admissions processes, career guidance methodologies, psychometric assessments, and certification pathways.
- Preference will be given to candidates with internationally recognised counselling certifications and experience in global university admissions and career-readiness programs, including participation in IC3 (International Career & College Counselling).
*Key Responsibilities*
*1. Career Guidance & Student Counselling*
* Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to assist students in identifying suitable academic and career pathways.
* Administer and interpret psychometric and career assessment tools to evaluate students’ interests, personality traits, aptitudes, and competencies.
* Guide students in subject selection aligned with career aspirations and university eligibility requirements under CBSE and IBCP curricula.
* Develop personalised academic and career progression plans for students.
* Conduct career awareness workshops, seminars, and orientation sessions for students and parents.
* Provide updated information regarding emerging careers, future industry trends, and global opportunities.
*2. University & Higher Education Admissions Guidance*
* Support students in identifying and applying to suitable universities and higher education institutions in India and abroad.
* Guide students through the complete admissions lifecycle, including:
* University shortlisting
* Application strategy
* Statement of Purpose (SOP) writing
* Personal essays
* Resume/Profile building
* Recommendation guidance
* Interview preparation
* Provide counselling related to entrance examinations such as: SAT, CUET, JEE, NEET, IELTS, TOEFL, CLAT and other competitive examinations
* Assist students in scholarship applications, financial aid processes, and international admission requirements.
* Coordinate university fairs, college visits, alumni networking sessions, and guest speaker engagements.
*3. Career Development, Certifications & Skill Enhancement*
* Promote career readiness through internships, mentorship programs, industrial visits, and experiential learning opportunities.
* Facilitate student participation in globally recognised certification and career exploration programs, including IC3 (International Career & College Counselling Conference & Expo) initiatives and related career guidance platforms.
* Guide students toward skill-based certifications, profile enhancement programs, and future-ready competencies.
* Conduct workshops on: Leadership, Communication skills, Decision-making, Time management, Critical thinking, Emotional intelligence, and Professional etiquette
* Stay updated with evolving higher education trends, industry demands, certification pathways, and international career landscapes.
*4. Psychosocial Support & Student Well-being*
* Provide emotional and motivational support to students facing academic stress, career anxiety, self-doubt, or decision-making challenges.
* Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, mentors, and school leadership to support students’ holistic development.
* Encourage student confidence, resilience, and goal-oriented planning.
* Promote a balanced approach toward academics, extracurricular involvement, and career aspirations.
*5. Collaboration, Documentation & Reporting*
* Collaborate with academic teams to integrate career awareness and future-readiness initiatives into the school ecosystem.
* Maintain confidential and accurate records of counselling sessions, assessments, university applications, and student progress.
* Generate periodic reports and insights on counselling activities, admissions outcomes, and student engagement.
* Build and maintain relationships with universities, industry experts, certification bodies, and external career guidance organisations.
*Qualifications & Experience*
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Psychology, Career Counselling, Human Development, Counselling Psychology or related field
* Preferred certifications: Certified Career Counsellor, International Career Counselling Certifications, UCLA/NCDA/IC3 related certifications, Psychometric Assessment Certifications, University Admissions Counselling Certifications
* 2–5 years of relevant experience in career counselling, preferably within CBSE, IB, IGCSE, or international school environments.
* Strong understanding of: CBSE & IBCP curriculum structures, National & international university admissions, Career assessment methodologies, Student development frameworks

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
